We are looking for a reliable and motivated person to join our professional team as a Senior Support Worker (Intervenor) in Exeter. This maternity cover is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week within the community. 
About the role
As an Intervenor (Senior Support Worker) you will enable an individual to experience and join in the world around them as much as possible. You will promote their social and personal development, through your guided encouragement and communication.  You can help them conquer new challenges every week!  
An Intervenor provides one-to-one support to a child or adult who has been born with sight and hearing impairments – known as congenital deafblindness. This support may be provided in someone’s home, their local community or work setting and personal care may be required.
About you 
As the ideal candidate you will have achieved, BSL level one or possess native sign language skills. In addition a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards this is essential. You will have had experience of working with and providing practical support to, people with learning disabilities and / or multisensory impairments.
A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.

Price / Salary: £17,018 - £18,755 per annum pro rata (£8.73 - £9.62 per hour)
