Salary band £18,000 – £21,000 depending on experience
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) including Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with challenging pupils and have the ability to diffuse and deescalate their behaviour whilst pushing them to reach their potential. The role will also require successful candidates to demonstrate competent literacy and numeracy skills to facilitate pupils accessing the curriculum including GCSEs.
The main duties will be to support the pupils throughout their day and assist them with lessons as well as to help them manage their behaviour around the school. This will include small group support and 1:1 work
