A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a HGV Class 1 Cylinder Driver to join our team based at our Knowsley Tanker and Cylinder distribution site. In return, we offer a competitive salary, overtime after 45 hrs, paid tachograph breaks, 33 days holiday pro rata and death in service benefit.

We are a leading supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the UK and has over 30 years' experience providing alternative energy solutions to domestic and commercial customers.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the HGV Class 1 Cylinder Driver will be responsible for delivering trailers of gas cylinders to customers in the North West / Wales area whilst providing excellent face to face customer service.

Key responsibilities of the HGV Class 1 Cylinder Driver role will include:

* Carrying out relevant daily vehicle & trailer checks and reporting defects as per Operational Procedures

* Completing all necessary paperwork ensuring accuracy standard is maintained

* Be compliant with the driver's hours and tachograph regulations

* Meet driver performance standards

* Contributing in developing customer base / reporting competitor activity in area

The successful HGV Class 1 Cylinder Driver will:

* Hold a Cat C+E (HGV class 1) driving licence

* Have a Driver qualification card (DCPC)

* Hold ADR in packages (minimum class 2 gases) including Tanks would be advantageous

* Be flexible and willing to work additional hours including some weekend working

* Have the ability to work in a team or on own initiative

* Be willing to progress training to cover Tankers

* Have a positive attitude towards Health & Safety and be committed to safe working practises

The hours of work are 45 per week.
