Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager for a manufacturing organisation based in Knaresborough. This role offers the rare opportunity of establishing and implementing new processes around purchasing and material management.

The successful candidate will be managing a growing team of buyers, materials and supply chain/warehouse professionals responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and contract negotiation for materials, bought in product, and services spend. You will set up the supply of product to the site and oversee supplier relationship management, ensuring ongoing supplier performance. You will also be involved in the process of S&OP implementation working with senior management to project manage introduction, and will lead the team to ensure inventory optimisation, driving Lean, and Vendor Managed Inventory.

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

- Purchasing & Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing organisation.
- Strategic sourcing background, and experience gained in a leading-edge procurement environment.
- Knowledge of Lean and JIT processes, as well as understanding of material planning and S&OP.
- Previous people management responsibility.
- Excellent negotiation and contract skills, and highly analytical.
- Degree level and ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards.
