Role : Junior / Trainee AutoCAD Technician
Salary: £17,000-23,000 + benefits depending on experience

My client has a vacancy for a Junior / Trainee AutoCAD technician to join their established team in Crawley.

My client is a well established engineering company who are looking to expand their team as a result of continued success and contract wins which includes flagship projects such as the Thames Tideway. You will be attached to a variety of project focused around utility mapping of services such as gas, electric, water and telecoms.

In the position of AutoCAD Technician you will be expected to:

-Process survey data from topographical, utility and measured building surveys ( mainly Utility PAS 128 data processing)
-Produce AutoCAD drawings in 2D ( and 3D dependant on experience )
-Work with BS ISO 98049:200 and similar standards - Not Essential but advantageous Interpret GPR, topographic or lazer scanning data

This role would suit candidates who are looking to kick start their career as an AutoCAD Technician and have had experience of using AutoCAD from academic studies. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate, HNC, HND, GNVQ or similar qualification. However candidates who have used AutoCAD in a professional environment that are looking to change industry sectors would also be well suited to this position.

In this role full training and development is available to bring you up to speed with industry standard and practices, however having a solid grounding on using AutoCAD in a 2D format is essential.

On offer is the opportunity to work as part of an established team who till provide you with day to day mentoring and professional development. In addition to this you will also be given the opportunity to use and develop 3D AutoCAD practices and skills.

This is an office based role working Monday - Friday and the starting salary is £17,000 - 23,000 + package dependant on experience.

Please note if you have previous experience of procession survey data a higher salary is available.
