Design Engineer

£30,000 - £38,000 per annum
Permanent Role

Our client is a fast growing local business looking to develop their team. Due to business growth, a new opportunity has opened for an experienced and driven Design Engineer within the HVAC industry.

Key Responsibilities

Working as a valued member of the design team, you will take a proactive role within the business and be able to react quickly and effectively in ever changing situations.
The successful candidate will produce detailed quotations for ventilation, mechanical and air conditioning projects.
Occasional site surveys will be required to fit in with business needs.
Candidates will be confident in selecting equipment for leisure, retail, commercial and domestic projects varying in value up to £500,000 on a nationwide basis.

Key Competencies:

Candidates will possess a proven track record of building strong professional relationships and project management with the ability to occasionally contract projects if required during busy periods.
Ideally you will have ONC/HNC qualification in Building Services but a good understanding of the British building regulations is acceptable
You must have worked within the ventilation and air conditioning industry and therefore have knowledge of the major suppliers and equipment within the market.
The successful candidate will be self-starter, able to work independently and able to liaise effectively at all levels.
Candidates should have excellent written, verbal and IT skills with knowledge of AutoCAD being preferred but not essential.
In return, you will get:
Basic salary £30-£38k dependent on experience.

20 days annual leave and 8 days statutory, rising with 1 day for every calendar year worked

Standard hours of work are 9.00am 5.30pm Monday Friday
