We are working with a mainstream primary school in Dartford who are looking to recruit a qualified Teaching Assistant to work with a child in a Year 4 classroom who has Autism and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 15:30 and is due to start as soon as possible.

The role will consist of supporting the child 1:1 in all lessons and with all aspects of their learning throughout the day and ensuring that their behaviour is managed effectively. Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum is essential.

Your key duties will be to support the child in making the right decisions and promoting their social skills. They can become frustrated when not supported on a 1:1 basis so you will need to support them through communication. You will also need to implement effective behaviour management strategies and any other duties allocated to you by the childs Teachers.

It is essential that you are at least L2 qualified as a Teaching Assistant and enjoy working with children with additional needs.

You will be rewarded with excellent rates of pay which will be £300 - £325 per day.
