We have a very exciting new vacancy for an experienced Children`s Support Worker to join a new Children`s home in the Bristol/South Glos area.
Your role will involve leading a team in supporting children aged 8 - 19 with ASD/autism and aspergers, and associated co-morbidities such as self harm, ADHD, and challenging behaviours, within a residential care environment.
Duties will include:
" Staff supervision and shift leading
" Practical, therapeutic and emotional support of children
" Implementing PRICE model of positive behaviour support
" Overseeing house in manager`s absence
" Reporting and recording in line with Ofsted compliance
" On- call duties
" Health and safety responsibilities
" LAC reviews / liaising with external professionals / MDT meetings
Shifts will be a mixture of earlies (7.30am - 3.30pm) and lates (2.30pm - 10.30pm), with some flexibility to complete sleep ins until a full Waking Night team is in place.
Salary for this role ranges from £19,240 - £19,760 per annum. Benefits include:

To apply for this role, you must have:
" An NVQ Level 3 Caring for Children and Young People / Level 3 Residential Childcare / or Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young people`s Workforce (Social Care Pathway)
" Experience working with children with autism and/or challenging behaviours, preferably in residential care
" A full UK driving license; and
" Be over the age of 21
