About the role:

You will be responsible for shaping, leading, delivering and managing the Health, Safety, and Environmental agenda for the Solus group, ensuring a culture of behavioural safety as second nature, and continuously improve their industry leading health and safety performance.

Your responsibilities will include keeping abreast of current and changing legislation, you will lead audits and inspections at their sites to identify any issues that present risk to the business, promote best practice, identify training needs, and work with their L&D department to meet these. Additionally, you will utilise technology solutions to create highly efficient and effective health and safety programmes and management systems to meet their changing industry demands, and provide reporting and analytics for Executive interpretation and decision support.

Being part of Aviva, you will also work regularly with their health and safety teams to ensure alignment with their policies, being able to call on their resource and expertise, and you will also be involved with industry steering groups.

About you:

What you will need to succeed: The successful candidate for this role will hold a minimum of the NEBOSH Diploma, a Degree or equivalent, and a qualification in Environmental Management. Previous experience in a motor repair or manufacturing environment is desirable. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence people and stakeholders across the business and the industry.

You may have experience of the following: Health & Safety Manager, NEBOSH, IOSH, Environmental Law, Safety Management, Multi-Site, HSE Manager, IIRSM, IEMA, H&S Consultant, Compliance, Senior Health & Safety Officer, Continuous Improvement etc.
