Our client is looking for an experienced Registered manager who is RMN qualified to lead an existing service and be part of the team which will deliver a new build project within the next 2 years.
The manager will support service users and staff through the relocation to
the new facility.
Job Outline : The welfare of all Services Users, the management, organisation and training of staff, the liaison and maintenance of good relations with external authorities, relatives of service users and the general public.
To be aware of current legislation and regulations affecting the service users and staff and to ensure, in co-operation with the Operations Manager, that these are implemented and the service is fully compliant with CQC standards.
To contribute to the development of the new dementia building and the development of operational policy.
To work with the development team and external professionals, to ensure a smooth and efficient transition to the new service for both service users and staff.
Job Description:
Service delivery
To ensure service users are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
To maintain a safe environment, provide a high standard of care, promoting health and wellbeing and opportunities for each service user to live a full as life as possible.
To assess prospective service users to ensure the service can meet their needs.
To ensure that medication is administered, ordered and checked in accordance with company policies.
To ensure that care plans and risk assessments are agreed upon admission and that they accurate and current to reflect the changing needs of service users.
To recognise changing needs of service users and respond appropriately with the support of other professionals.
Ensuring that all things possible are done to enable each service user to maintain independence and individuality.
To ensure complaints are acknowledged, investigated and acted upon in accordance with company policies.
To ensure that all matters affecting the safety of service users receives constant attention and in particular that a regular review of all fire precautions are carried out.
To ensure that accidents and incidents are recorded and reported to the company Administrator in accordance with company policies.
To ensure the necessary provisions, goods and works are requisitioned as necessary.
People Management
To recruit and maintain staff to the agreed establishment levels in co-operation with the Operations Manager and the Human Resources Manager.
To hold regular supervision and appraisal with staff, recording and following up on issues arising.
To maintain a detailed record of staff accidents and action taken in accordance with Parkhaven Health and Safety policy.
To manage and record staff sickness and absence in accordance with the company policy and provide appropriate notification to payroll.
To performance manage staff as necessary including undertaking disciplinary action in accordance with company policies.
To complete the monthly payroll returns on time.
Operational Management
To participate in the setting of the annual service budget and to manage accordingly.
To attend and take part in Managers meetings.
To participate in the Managers On Call rota.
To attend such training and development that is required to perform their duties.
To comply with Health and Safety Legislation at all times.
To comply with all reasonable requests of the line manager and carry out any other tasks as reasonably instructed by management
