Access Control and Locking Systems

Home based (Midlands to South of England)

Permanent

Salary - £50k+ OTE, commission uncapped

Our client are a market leader in the supply of access control/locking systems into the hospitality and allied sectors supplying to both new build and replacement/refurbishment market in such as 5* hotels, hostels, student accommodation, military accommodation and serviced apartments.

As a result of significant success and a re-structuring of responsibilities, we are seeking to recruit a suitable individual into the role of Area Sales Manager - Student Accommodation. Your role will be responsible for direct sales to the education sector including University Campuses, Private Student Accommodation Developers/Operators, Colleges and Schools.

Whilst your main "patch" will be Midland southwards there may sometimes to service national clients and travel further afield. This is a huge market and will in essence be a warm role with existing accounts/projects to take on.

So what do we look for?

* A successful sales individual, any experience of selling into the Education Sector would be a bonus but not essential.
* Three years minimum experience in sales and business development management, including responsibility for key accounts.
* Willingness to travel around the UK with a clean driving record.
* Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
* Must have a successful history of managing and growing sales revenues.
* Must have a demonstrated track record of working under minimal direct supervision.

* Self-driven, energetic and ambitious.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
* Strong business and technical aptitude.
* Strong and effective presentation and communication skills, whether one-on-one, in public settings, or via written media.

In addition to some of the sales type characteristics shown above, you will also have the following:

* A technical aptitude (extensive training is given but must have the ability to learn new technologies)
* Be computer literate with some knowledge of network technologies/requirements, LAN/WAN environments, routing, TCP/IP, and components.
* Be able to manage relationships, at a regional level, with contractors, architects, developers, owners and operators.
