Smart Recruitment is currently supporting a well-known award winning food production company, and would like to recruit a Part Time Technical Officer for their growing Somerset business. The company can be flexible about the work schedule during the week, but will require 20 hours per week to be worked.

The Technical Officer's role involves supporting the Technical Manager with the responsibility of ensuring that all food safety regulations, audit requirements and product specifications are adhered to for the site.

In order to do this we would like to find candidates with the following level of experience and qualifications:
Food Safety qualification - ideally level 3 or above
HACCP qualification - ideally level 3 or above
Auditing qualification & experience
Food Science/Technology qualification
Experience from a technical / administration role within food manufacturing
Experience maintaining, reviewing and updating QMS
Excellent computer skills to include, Word, Excel and Outlook
Be familiar with BRC Food Manufacturing Standard
