What youll be doing
Youll take a leading role in organising a specialist locality team, developing and implementing community support in a culturally sensitive way. Youll create and nurture projects with the satisfaction of seeing them through to successful completion.
Youll be part of an incredibly supportive environment, collaborating across the whole organisation. This involves engaging with internal and external agencies, making decisions which ensure the physical, social and emotional needs of the community we serve are met.
Managing your teams performance and development will be key to ensuring the smooth running of our care and support services so that everyone has an excellent experience with us.
Prioritising and effectively intervening with complex caseloads, using sound judgement and timely decision making, will be paramount to enabling your team to deliver the exceptional level of service that Jewish Care is proud of.
What were looking for
Youre a natural leader with great people skills and the ability to keep a cool head in challenging situations. A team player, youll thrive on working with others, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Youll be results driven, knowing how to get the best out of your team, so they can give the best possible care to the people we look after.
Youll need a qualification in Social Work and to be HCPC registered, and being qualified in Supervision/Practice Education would be an advantage. Youll be confident in managing a social work caseload and supervising others. Having previous experience working with adults in a social care context, especially within the community or in group work, would also be a bonus.
