Working as a Learning Support Assistant, this key position provides care to children and young people with SEMH and behavioural difficulties. The role focuses on developing independent life skills and supporting children with their individual needs both in and out of the classroom.

This role will involve the successful Learning Support Assistant working with young people and children aged 9-18, to support their education and individual life programme, promoting skills and independence whilst maintaining safeguarding procedures. Previous experience using team teach is desirable, although not essential.

The role will involve supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting them throughout the school day both in and outof the classroom. The students can be challenging but with the right guidance will do extremely well.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will be expected to:

* Promote life skills and independence, developing domestic and personal skills

* Support students on a small group and 1:1 basis, both in and out of the classroom

* Manage challenging behaviour, helping to develop self-control techniques

The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have the following experience:

* Experience of working with children with complex and challenging behaviour

* Team teach training

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* Clear and concise written and verbal communication

Price / Salary: £50.00 - £70.00/day
