Kate Edwards at CK Group is currently recruiting for a Microbiology Technologist in Ware, to join a global pharmaceutical company on a temporary basis for 12 months.

Working as part of a team responsible for microbial analysis of the process and materials associated with pharmaceutical manufacturing, your responsibilities will be:
- To carry out microbiological monitoring / product testing and associated support activities for non-sterile products in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, methods or protocols.
- Previous experience working in Pharmaceutical GMP environment preferred.
- To train in application and use of NIR water activity testing of non-sterile presentations.
- To complete documentation associated with these activities at the time and accurately with attention to detail.
Carry out relevant laboratory investigations for out of specification or atypical results with the team leader or senior technician.
To ensure all relevant policies and procedures are known, followed and applied as required including: o High standards of GMP/GLP standards are followed at all times when on site o All Site safety requirements are followed at all times when on site
Training records are kept up to date

You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Candidates must have a Microbiology (or related subject) degree (or equivalent) with hands on experience in isolation and speciation techniques
- Good aseptic techniques are required and GLP knowledge as well as an understanding of pathogenicity and ecology of microorganisms would be useful
- Physical monitoring of areas
- Previous experience of working to GMP would be advantageous.
