Extrusion Operator:

Pertemps Kettering are currently recruiting for Extrusion Operator for our client based just outside the in the Kettering area.

Key Attributes:

Able to set up dies, extrusion machines and auxiliary equipment.
Observe machine operation to detect profile defects or machine malfunction and readjust operating conditions.
Conduct quality checks by measuring product dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
Carry scrap to designated cage for baling or recycling. perform minor machine maintenance such as lubrication, filter change and cleaning dies.
Take instructed readings of machine gauges and document results on run sheets.
Report production at end of shift.

Knowledge and Skill:
Ability to use a tape measure accurately and do basic math skills
Ability to convert fractions to decimals.
Ability to read written instructions, production reports and common statistical data.

General:
To monitor and operate the extrusion machines.
Ensure the production sheets are filled out correctly, accurately and to best knowledge.
Ensure Health and Safety is Adhered to at all times.

Hours: 12 hours 4 on 2 off rotating nights and days, for this position you will need to be physically fit.

Price / Salary: £9/hour
