Team Manager - Emergency Duty Team - Central Bedfordshire

We are looking to recruit a Team Manager - Emergency Duty Team - Central Bedfordshire within the social care industry in Central Bedfordshire. The Team Manager - Emergency Duty Team - Central Bedfordshire vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Responsibilities include:

* To manage the work of a team of social workers in order to provide a generic emergency social work service outside office hours.
* To ensure that a duty social worker is available at all times out of office hours, to provide consultation and direction to said worker and to participate in the duty rota as required.
* Experience of working independently and ability to represent the council in a way that enhances its reputation
* Experience of applying consistent thresholds and offering sound advice regarding welfare of children and vulnerable adults
* Understanding and apply legislation relating to safeguarding and health wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults.
* To ensure that a duty social worker is available at all times out of office hours, to provide consultation and direction to said worker and to participate in the duty rota as required

Experience preferred:

* Post qualifying experience of working within a Team Manager working within an Emergency Duty Team.

* Well-structured organised team, growing their social worker staffing levels.

Minimum Requirements:

* 5 year experience in a similar role within the UK
* Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* HCPC
* An experienced approved AMPH
* Social Work Qualification
