Job Purpose:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of General Manager, with responsibility for overseeing every aspect of the operational delivery of each of the service streams within a large corporate organisation head office.
The General Manager's focus will be on setting the highest standards across all areas and services to ensure the delivery of a consistent, high quality service, taking into account the needs of the Client, the Customer and the Consumer.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, driven and hold the required focus to play the lead role in a developing team.

Responsibilities
* Operational Responsibilities - oversee all aspects of day to day operations
* Legal Responsibilities - responsible for H&S, Food hygiene, Employment law, legal and contractual responsibility
* Financial responsibility - commercially minded in all aspects of the business, budgets and forecast
* Risk Management - reducing risk across the business
* Businesses development strategy and projects - develop integrated strategy aimed at winning and retaining business
* Communication and Brand - advocate of the service provide, communicating strategy and vison

Person Specification:

Experience
* Demonstrates track record in branded operations in either retail or hospitality industries or facilities management.
* Demonstrable experience of running a similar operation in terms of scale and ambition (Catering Turnover in the region of £7m per annum, 6,000+ covers per day)
* Can demonstrate roles where has lead, motivated and developed large teams (300+) from diverse backgrounds and skills sets
* 5 years' experience working in an operational management role with financial and commercial accountability
* Experience at interfacing at all levels throughout an organisation, gaining and maintaining credibility with all people - clients (cross-organisation - Board Room to Boiler Room), suppliers, staff

* Numerically and financially strong with a great head for control and financial success
* Creative and effective reaction to operational issues
* Real and obvious passion for high quality fresh food and engaging customer service
* Never content with the Status Quo; always looking to improve, innovate and keep the commercial offer vibrant and engaging
* Excellent communication, people and relationship skills
* Ability to influence, hold a position in a debate and work under pressure. Good team player and manager

Price / Salary: £85000 - £100000/annum
