Join us as a Deputy Manager and lead a hard-working, dedicated new team at an exceptional childrens home. Its a great opportunity to hone your leadership skills, assisting the Registered Manager with the home management, taking charge in their absence. Every day, youll help with operations, to supervise staff, handle admin and check casework records. Youll also be directly involved in case conferences, reviews and planning.
To be our Deputy Manager, youll need experience in residential childcare and an Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent and be committed to child-centered practice. You should also have proven administrative skills and a wealth of childcare knowledge. Resilient and good with people, youll have the judgement and confidence to make key decisions. Youll need to be happy to work flexible hours, to work to a rota and to have a full UK driving licence.
Ashby House Childrens Home is situated in a large detached house in Hinckley and is set in its own grounds of approximately half an acre. Ashby House is approximately 0.5 miles from the centre of the town. The home is ideally situated to provide easy access to community facilities both by car and public transport. Ashby House has excellent transport links and the home is approximately 0.5 miles from the nearest railway station. The home provides a high quality group living experience within a welcoming and warm domestic setting.
