Company Fusion Limited is working with a children`s activity centre, providing top class play space and activities for the children and also a relaxing environment for the parents. They are looking for a Weekend Duty Manager to ensure the smooth operational running (primarily at weekends) of the children`s activity centre, located in the Bushey/Watford area.

The Package - What you could earn

- Paying up to £9.00 per hour
- Days of work: Saturday and Sunday

Weekend Duty Manager - Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Open-up, to include morning staff meeting, and Close-up, to include cashing-up, at weekends (key holder and alarm fob holder for building plus general warehouse keys)..
- Manage the staff, their duties and "breaks & lunches" rota whilst on-shift. Any significant staff problems should be referred to the Manager in handover (if not on-site).
- Competently handle in house party enquiries, deposit payments and final payments and oversee the smooth running of party bookings in operation at weekends.
- Ensure all housekeeping is carried out and checklists are completed.
- Handle student enquiries for Play and Learn Education Centre and handover to head teacher.
- Monitor and control headcount with Reception. During peak times action and enforce 2 hour maximum stay, control the queue at reception, and implement a "one in, one out" policy once all tables are occupied.
- Spot check staff on go-karts to make sure they are being operated properly, that the staff are wearing protective boots.
- Deal with any customers that are not abiding by our client`s Rules of Play eg eating their own food on the premises, not wearing socks etc, and apply the "3 strikes and you`re out" rule to unruly children/adults.
- Enforce the Company`s Health & Safety policies and deal with customer/staff accidents and ensure an accident report form is completed. Refer to Assistant Manager/Manager/Owner if 999 required.
- Monitor the servery, and ensure the staff have a well-stocked and clean servery island, that the fridge and freezer is stocked up and clean.
- Carry out any other reasonable request from the management team and be prepared to cover any area of the business on an ad hoc basis.

The Person - Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

- Strong skills and experience in both customer service and verbal communication; preferably in Retail or Hospitality.
- Strong skills and experience in people management.
- Ability to manage both staff and customer conflicts.
- Attention to detail, use of initiative and a "have a go" attitude.
- First aid trained preferred.
- CRB clearance will be obtained.
