Wintel Technical Lead

Wintel Technical Lead's main purpose:
The Wintel Technical Lead will primarily provide operational support to the core infrastructure and platform, including any new solutions implemented. As the primary technical lead in the Desktop team you will support the business during normal hours and provide occasional out of hours support.
Wintel Technical Lead's Key Essential Skills:
* Ensuring Live systems are operating effectively within agreed SLA.
* Monitor ticket queues ensuring SLAs are adhered to.
* Manage both BAU and project workloads, ensure a balance between BAU and Projects can be managed effectively.
* Escalate support issues as required to TDA's, Application Middleware, Webtech, IMS, Development team and 3rd Parties.
* Supporting a production enterprise Microsoft Windows environment which includes Active Directory services, Exchange and Lync 2013.
* Management of operations including documentation, transitional technical support, analysis, IT training and operational support of implemented Technologies.
* Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel effectively.
* Create up to date utilisation reports for monitoring and availability for business critical systems and applications.
* Wintel Technical Lead will fully manage the core infrastructure.
* Plan and implement technical changes without unexpected disruption to the service and with minimal oversight.
* Support and coordinate the rollout of the Skype for Business Office 365 projects.
* Experience of supporting a production VMware and Citrix environments.
* Data backup technologies utilising Veeam B&R.
* System management tools. SCCM Current Branch, Client deployment, Application packaging and deployment, SCCM upgrades and maintenance.
* Windows 10 Build Servicing.
* Knowledge of supporting HP, NetApp SAN storage/Flash technologies.
* Experience of enterprise monitoring systems (e.g. Solarwinds).
* IP Networking including a basic understanding of routing and firewalling.
* Plan and implement technical changes without unexpected disruption to the service and with minimal oversight.
* Microsoft Skype for Business server design, deployment, and administration.
* Advanced VoIP/telephony expertise, Microsoft Infrastructure components and Lync Voice workloads.
* Fully competent with Microsoft Lync 2013 & Skype for Business, including enterprise voice.
Wintel Technical Lead's Desirable Qualities:
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Work with peers, other groups, and vendors to complete projects and maintain systems and platforms.
* Strong experience of providing cross training on technologies and operational processes to colleagues.
* Maintain a service culture within the team, with a proactive focus on risk and problem management, coupled with ongoing service and system improvements.
* Collaborate effectively with other operational support teams in to support the service.
* Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
* Experience in 3rd Party engagement.
* Experience working in a project and change management environment ensuring a standard of excellent are met.
