Are you an experienced Senior Functional Safety Engineer, looking for an exciting next step in your career? Maybe you are looking for more opportunities for development, or better chances for progression?
The Systems and Safety team are responsible for the deployment of functional safety, systems engineering and cyber security expertise and tools across the business to deliver internal and external projects. Our portfolio covers all domains of land-based transportation including automotive, commercial, off-highway and defence applications.

Experience

Electrical/electronics engineer, systems engineer or software architect in an embedded systems environment, particularly safety-related systems.
System-level architectural design and technical review.
Delivering ISO 26262 to vehicle manufacturers and tier 1 suppliers covering all aspects of the safety lifecycle Experience in:
Functional safety planning & management
User and systems level requirements capture, management and technical review
System-level architectural design and technical review
Embedded hardware design and technical review for safety-related systems
Embedded software design and technical review for safety-related systems
Executing and reporting on independent safety assessment (confirmation measures)
Executing safety analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, and quantitative FTA) sometimes with incomplete data

Qualifications
Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, systems engineering or a relevant related discipline.
Travel UK and Overseas will be required
A higher degree (relevant M.Sc, Eng D or Ph.D) and/or corporate membership of an engineering institution including Chartered Engineer qualification would be desirable.
