A well-known systems house company focusing in the design and manufacture of construction façade works and aluminium windows and doors, turning over in excess of £100m, employing over 650 staff. With my client going from strength to strength and experienced in a surge in growth, my client has a great position for an estimator experienced in the Façade sector to be based in the West Midlands area

We are searching for an estimator who can calculate the costs and gains related with all our construction projects providing the company with accurate information that will help in operations and strategic planning.

The perfect candidate will have a proven track-record as a construction estimator with exceptional numerical and analytical skills, and with a great attention to detail.

Key responsibilities of the role:

Check and analyse tender documents assigned to façade estimating
List down all-important notes or clarifications and then send to client for review
Assemble accurate and well-organised estimates and proposals in a timely manner for stipulated price, design-build and construction/project management formatted projects
Provide clear detailed quantity take-offs
Organise subcontractors/ suppliers quotations negotiate to insure quotes meet contract documents
Complete budgeting and scheduling for projects and track at the same time. Monitor progress requisition change orders and identify any potential risks
Source Facade materials locally and abroad
Prepare comprehension summarises of cost estimates for analysis and reference
Identify any variance between client the clients specification and that offered by the company
Email detailed quotation documents and references to director to checking, approving and following director approval, submit quote on tome
Maintain relationships with sub-contractors/suppliers and clients
Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labour costing
Formulate cost break down from estimates from estimates and for project progress met with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services.
Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services
Co-ordinate internal handover meting to relevant departments once project secured
Rrepare and present budgets for secured projects.

Candidate profile:
Minimum 3 years experience working as an estimator within construction façade environment and having experience in the use of LogiKal Orgadata
Experience with using estimating software and spreadsheet design
Proven ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
Technically orientated with strong connections to construction design to help with possible suggestions to clients
Excellent self-discipline and task planning skills in working with large volumes of electronic design information such as drawings, schedules, registers on the daily basis.
Proven ability to convey complex information concisely with excellent email and telephone skills
Strong negotiating skills
Ability to work in an office and in the field in a fast-paced environment with variable working hours
Enjoys various challenges with multitasked position from sales through to completion of the building project
Ideal candidate would have the desire, ability and ambition to work their way up to a senior position within the company
Willingness to work as part of a team
