Specialist contractor that specifically work on district heating projects across the UK covering design, installation and commissioning. Reporting to the head of preconstruction you will be responsible for the preparation of estimates from tenders received, the analysis of drawings preparation of sub-contractor and supplier enquiries and contract documents, material take-offs aswell as the liaison with client consultants, design teams, subcontractors and material suppliers and projects will predominately involve underground pipework, trenches and associated civils work. Experience working for a civils/utilities contractor would be ideal especially having a background working previously on water or mechanical projects as large elements of the projects will involve plant rooms, heat exchanges and heat/loss calculations. You will need to be degree qualified in either civil engineering or quantity surveying due to the nature of work and projects involved as well as being fully computer literate as you will be using a bespoke company spreadsheet package aswell as being able to work both with the precon team and independently, you will predominately working from the Head Office but at times you maybe required to travel in order to do site surveys so a current driving license will be essential
