We are currently seeking to appoint a Head of Mathematics to join a new 11-18 Academy in Birmingham from January 2018.
The schools mission is to create an outstanding organisation that inspires learners with excellence in academic achievement, personal development and community service.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and outstanding Head of Mathematics who is able to provide inspiring and purposeful leadership, lead the development of KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum across the department; to work in partnership with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team, Local Governing Body, Trust, staff, pupils and parents in generating the ethos and values, which underpin the school by mutual care and respect extending into the local community. You will need to ensure all subjects within the department deliver outstanding levels of achievement and attainment and to lead, train and coach your colleagues in the department.
You will have:
A degree (2:1 or above) in relevant subject
A UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed, etc
A track record of delivering 'outstanding' teaching
Successful and sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement
Effective management of people and team of professionals within a school setting
Ability to teach GCSE and A level mathematics
Salary: MSP / UPS + TLR1
