On our Engineering programme you can choose from opportunities including engineering software, control systems development, system architecture design and testing electronic and mechanical engineering. Youll focus on real-time automated systems operating across the entire Royal Mail network, and build knowledge and experience thats second to none.

Electronical and mechanical engineers at Royal Mail have the opportunity to work across the Engineering team to specify, design and test solutions that improve our systems and help influence the future of our Group. Youll have hands-on responsibility from the moment you start, as well as formal leadership development to help you set the foundations for a successful career.

What were looking for >

To join our Engineering graduate programme youll need a 2:1 degree in Electronic or Systems Engineering and ideally some experience in a major systems or engineering environment. Knowledge of ++, Java, Perl, VB Net, Linux, Solaris, Unix and Windows programming would be an advantage, but most important is a desire to learn, plenty of initiative, and drive and determination. Youll also need to be a strong communicator who can explain technical information to non-specialist audiences.

The programme is based in Swindon and we offer some financial support with initial moving costs and time off to move (if needed) as part of our relocation policy. You will need the right to work full time in the UK.

*Location pay dependent on placement location (Regions £900 to £1.7k if applicable, outer London £2.9k, central London £4.6k)

**Performance-related bonus for on target performance is 10% of salary and up to 20% if both company and personal stretch targets are met.
