Royal Mail employs thousands of frontline staff and delivers to over 29 million addresses in the UK. On our Network optimisation programme, youll build the skills needed to help us mastermind this vast, dynamic national network.

About the programme >

Over two years, youll complete up to three placements in network design, network scheduling and network planning, learning everything there is to know about network design, scheduling and optimisation. Much of what youll do will be looking for trends in data and analysing critical information so that we can be sure were operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Every step of the way, Royal Mail will be by your side, with our experienced managers working with you to set and help you reach performance goals assigning you a buddy, mentor and HR lead to make sure you have a strong support network to rely on. And, when you complete the scheme, well work together to decide whether youre ready to move into a more challenging role within the business.

What were looking for >

Good with numbers and switched on when it comes to computers and tech: these are the qualities were looking for in our Network Graduates. Youll have a 2:1 degree minimum or equivalent in Maths, Computer Science, Engineering or Geography, as well as an inquisitive, analytical mind that questions how things work and sees the world of insight that significant and varied data opens up to us.

Graduates are expected to relocate to Crick, near Daventry, and travel nationwide. We offer financial support and time off as part of our relocation policy. You will also need the right to work full time in the UK.

- Two-year programme, starting September 2018
- Up to three placements in network design, network scheduling and network planning
- Located in Crick, near Daventry (with extensive travel)
- £26,000 basic salary plus location pay*, annual bonus** and benefits
- Formal management training to develop leadership skills
- Relevant technical and role specific training
- Supported by buddies and mentors throughout your programme.

*Location pay dependent on placement location (Regions £900 to £1.7k if applicable, outer London £2.9k, central London £4.6k).

**Performance-related bonus for on target performance is 10% of salary and up to 20% if both company and personal stretch targets are met.
