Are you eager to embark on a new position in the New Year within Education? Do you have experience in a Primary School and have supported on a 1-1 basis previously?
Brilliant1 We have a 1-1 support position in a lovely, vibrant school in Leeds which might just be the perfect opportunity for you.

This post is to start in January 2018, and will be a part time, afternoons only role with potential to go full time in the future, to provide continuous and pivotal support to a Year 1 Pupil on an ongoing basis. Your new role will consist of the following activities:

* Assessing the needs of the pupil daily
* Keeping a record of progress and devlopments and reporting back to the teacher and parents
* Assisting with reading and writing
* Basic learning during lessons
* Provide a reliable point of contact for the pupils when in need
* Ensure activities and learning plans are adhered to and pupil is kept on task
* Comunicate with the teacher and other staff in the school to ensure the pupil is on target
* Encourage and motivate the pupil to learn and be involoved
* Report any safe guarding concerns or issues

To be successful for this role you will need the following:

* A consitent, calm and reliable nature
* Can be firm but fair in trying times
* Dedicated to the progress of the pupil
* Experience in a Primary School for 12 months or more - ideally EY's
* Experience in a similar role - working 1-1 with a pupil with extra needs
* Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships quickly
