We are recruiting for one of the biggest events companies in North London. This is a full time on-going position with the potential of becoming permanent after a performance review.

As a HGV/LGV Class 2 driver, you will have multi-drop deliveries and competitive rates of pay. There are also great benefits waiting for you once you successfully become permanent!

You will be helping to plan and facilitate event set-ups, as a HGV/LGV Class 2 driver. This is great dynamic role, ideal for someone with a high level of customer service when interacting with customers.

Pay Rate: £12:00 £13:50 per hour

Location: North London

No two days are the same. You will be delivering furniture and event equipment to various venues across London and the South East, including prestigious venues covering weddings, parties, and corporate conferences.

As is the nature of the industry, you will have early and late starts, and early and late finishes, so you will need to be willing to work long, flexible hours on a rota.

The HGV/LGV Class 2 driver will be representing the company so excellent customer service and presentation is essential. A working knowledge of London will be preferable.

Part of the role will include loading and offloading vehicles, heavy lifting and moving of furniture from the warehouse to customer venues, and completing any relevant paperwork.

A HGV/LGV Class 2 driver must be careful and tactfully manoeuvre through traffic, as the safety of the vehicle and its goods is your responsibility. You will also be responsible for daily vehicle checks and basic vehicle maintenance.

As a HGV/LGV Class 2 driver, you are expected to have an excellent knowledge of EU/UK drivers hours, tachograph rules and regulations

HGV/LGV Class 2 Driver Job Requirements:

Full Class 2 HGV driving licence
CPC Certification
Digital tachograph Card
At least 2 years Class 2 driving experience
Tail lift operating experience
An excellent knowledge of EU/UK drivers hours, tachograph rules and regulations
Be able to work on a rota basis
No more than 3 penalty points
Good knowledge of London
Responsible and trustworthy
Punctual and reliable
Excellent communication skills
Living within a commutable distance
