We are currently looking for a Payroll Bureau Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave in our Payroll Team.
This position is based in Manchester.
The successful candidate will therefore have excellent communication skills and solid payroll experience.
The Role:
* Responsible for providing payroll services and CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) services to clients of the practice.
* Dealing with all aspects that affect payroll, from the set-up of PAYE schemes with HMRC through to submitting End of Year P35's and P14's.
Essential skills and experience in the role include:
* A proven knowledge of the entire lifecycle of payroll production from PAYE scheme creation to Year End.
* Excellent communication skills. Ability to establish good client relationships.
* Ability to use initiative to problem solve.
* Ability to prioritise workload around conflicting deadlines.
* Ability to work as a team player and build effective relationships with all internal departments.
* Knowledge of Microsoft products particularly Word and Excel.
Preferred skills:
* Experience of Sage Payroll Software.
* Experience of CIS post April 2007.
* IPP qualified preferred but not essential.
