Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Shropshire

£35,600pa + Overtime, Pension & Life Assurance

Shift Pattern: Rotating 4 Days, 4 Off, 4 Nights, 4 Off

About the Role:

Reporting to the Engineering Shift Manager
Delivering real-time breakdown repairs, ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.
Performing planned preventive maintenance on high-speed production and packaging machinery.
Maintaining site services and general factory upkeep.
Supporting new machinery installations and continuous improvement projects.
Developing strong working relationship with Technical Operators.
Entering completed engineering jobs on to the CMMS system.

About the Person:

Strong working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Inverters, Drives, Motors and Gearboxes.
A proactive Maintenance Engineer, who takes preventative action to improve equipment reliability, instead of just waiting for breakdowns.
Someone who takes a logical and methodical approach solving technical problems.

Preference would be given to applicants with food industry experience, but this is not essential. The company is also happy to consider applications from ex-military engineers who can demonstrate transferable skills.
