A permanent position has become available for a Project Quantity Surveyor with a Regional Main Contractor to work on Building projects across Yorkshire.
Company:
Well established regional Main Contractor operating at around £20m t/o on Refurbishment and New Build projects across Yorkshire.
Job:
This is an office based role Commercially managing small to medium sized Building projects within Yorkshire, across Commercial, Industrial, Education, Healthcare, Leisure and Private Residential sectors.
Remuneration:
Competitive basic salary between £25,000 and £35,000, plus Car / Car allowance.
Matched contribution pension scheme.
Experience Required:
* Previous experience of commercially managing Building projects for a Main Contractor, valued up to £5m.
* New Build and Refurbishment experience.
* Strong numeracy and financial management skills .
* Ability to write clear and precise reports.
* Negotiation and team work ability.
* Detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters
Key Accountabilities:
* Support the project team in all commercial matters.
* Liaise with the site teams and take the lead with contract administration.
* Ensure cash flow is maximised including ensuring payments are received on time.
* Ensure the accurate and timely evaluation and agreement of final quantities, revised and additional items, rates and compensation events.
* Identify additional entitlement under the contract including the monitoring of daily records,
* Identify and realise opportunities to maximise cost/value management.
* Preparation of accurate and timely monthly valuation reports.
* Procurement and management of subcontract packages.
* Evaluate risks and review project risk register.
* Assist with preparation of contractual claims.
* Measure and assess the work undertaken and then submit detailed, accurate and timely applications.
