Accountabilities will include:
Operating cash handling excel sheets
Confirming total Drivers cash receipts is reconciled against the Cash Office By Route (Detail) excel sheet and equals total cash banked
Balances daily cash receipts and completes related documentation
Cover Petty Cash management
To carry out additional responsibilities as may be requested by Management (including covering other Cash Offices when required).
Backing up Cash Office related issues due to sickness and holidays and covering key elements.
Assist the Cash Office Team Leader with adhoc duties on a when needed basis.
Perform any other duties related to the cash office function and Aged Debt related queries when instructed by the Cashier Office Team Leader.
Bank reconciliation
Audit reports
To travel to depots in case of cash handling disruptions
To ensure that all relevant paperwork, i.e. invoices/ delivery notes and vehicle check sheets are completed correctly.
To enter data into the computer and where necessary provide reports for the depot
Skills & Qualifications required:
Cash Handling experience preferred
Some level of Accounting experience is essential preferably with Reconciliation or Sales Ledger experience
