MRB Health & Social Care Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Support Worker, working with a very reputable organisation. Their aim is to deliver excellent care and support to enable individuals to achieve as much independence and autonomy as possible.
Our client provides support to individuals with learning disabilities, including a wide variety of support needs such as autistic spectrum conditions, mental health support needs and acquired brain injury.

Role:
We are looking for a Support Worker to work within our client service based in Bickmarsh, near Evesham, Worcestershire. This is a 4-bedded service, which supports young adults who have a range of needs such as learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, challenging behaviours and some elements of self harming. Some residents may be non-verbal.
As a Support Worker, you will work closely with individuals to support them in their everyday life, so no two days will be the same.
Duties will include both practical and personal tasks such as:
Personal care
Assisting with dressing
Administering medication
Supporting the individual to visit family and friends
Weekly shopping
We are happy to consider applicants who do not have previous experience as a Support Worker as full training will be provided, however, it is essential that you have a genuine interest in working in the care sector, keen to work with individuals with learning disabilities.
You will have a caring and positive nature, be supportive, calm and tolerant, as the person you are supporting may at times be challenging, however this is the disability and not the person; empathy is essential.
