Monday Friday 37.5 hours
My client is an international organisation that is based in Telford; who is looking to recruit a HR Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the HR Director that is not based in the UK, you will oversee a small team within the HR department, you will be fully responsible for the operational and strategic management of HR on the Telford site.
Some of the duties and responsibilities will be:
Responsibility for the day to day running of the HR Department to support the Telford facility
Provide general day to day high quality and consistent advice and HR support across the company in relation to all HR matters in compliance with statutory obligations and best practice
Manage and develop the members of the HR team
Recruitment - this includes developing job descriptions, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, short-listing, interviewing and selecting candidates as well as working closely with outside resources
Plan, develop and implement strategy and tools for staff training and development including performance management (appraisals and processes)
Advising on; or co-ordination of training programmes both internal and external
Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion, bonus and benefits
Updating and amending HR policies and procedures and communication of them to staff and management
Reviewing and updating of the Employee Handbook whilst incorporating organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care
To propose HR process improvements as necessary to streamline administration where possible
We are looking for a proven HR Manager who can demonstrate they are comfortable working independently in a fast paced and continually evolving business. You will ideally be CIPD qualified, although HR management experience and personality are equally as important. You will need to be committed, flexible and dedicated to providing a first class HR service to your staff, and working closely with your HR Team to embed best practices.
