Geography Teacher - Paignton January 2018

We are searching for a dedicated and innovative, qualified Geography Teacher to join a School in the Torbay area on a long term basis. Pay will be to scale as planning and preparation as well as extra curricular activities and additional duties will be expected.

In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the College was judged as 'good' in all areas. The report stated that 'relationships between staff and students are very positive' and 'students behaviour is good, they are polite and courteous. They conduct themselves well.'

Responsibilities:

* Confidently teaching Geography to KS4
* Able to cover classes in a general capacity
* Inspiring and challenging young people to engage and learn
* Utilising excellent classroom control and behaviour management skills
* Supporting students in a one-to-one or group environment

What you will need to succeed:

* DBS on the update service or be willing to get one
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of Education
* The aptitude to nurture learners, encourage and stimulate young people
* Ability to work as part of a team and efficiently settle in to a department
* Recent or extensive experience in teaching in Secondary Education
* A minimum of two teaching reference available upon request
* A great attitude towards educating young people
