A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a confident and positive individual to join our Underwriting Team. If you're excelling in your current role or want to seek a rewarding career within a Tier One Bank then this is the ideal role for you.You'll have a real desire to help customers, and be able to work confidently and accurately in a telephony based role. You'll have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to organise and prioritise your workload.
Using tools to help empower you to make the right decision for both our customers and the business, you'll manually assess lending applications that have been referred by our automated credit scoring systems ensuring that we minimise risk and lend responsibly so you'll be adept at working with numbers.
Requirements:
* Good interpersonal skills and team working abilities would be an asset as well as an ability to both adapt to change and to learn quickly.
* Providing excellent customer service is of paramount importance, you will need to be an ambassador for the team. Previous experience in customer services or a financial services institution would be beneficial.
* Candidates must be articulate and numerate with good IT skills and be able to adapt their communication styles to converse with a wide range of internal and external customers.
The role is based in a department that opens weekends and evenings and will require flexible working, 5 out of 7 days, and currently the operational hours are 8am - 9pm, although this may change in line with business need in the future.
This role will require group vetting security and credit checks
