Compliance Officer - London

Do you have a compliance background and looking for a new and exciting opportunity? If so we may have the role for you.

Having successfully recruited for this leading Regulator previously they are continuing to grow and looking to expand their current talent. You will enjoy a varied role with a mixture of responsibilities and be a self-starter with a positive mind-set, energy, drive and determination to take others with you on a journey of change, through ways of working

This role would suit someone with a strong compliance background. You will be required to support the regulated industry to comply with the regulatory regime, and tackle non-compliance issues. You will be a confident individual with strong communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels.

You will also be responsible for;

* Undertaking desk based investigations to gather evidence to support prosecutions.
* The first point of contact for regulated individuals and Directors/Controlling Minds of security organisations.
* Ensuring all intervention activity is carried out in accordance with relevant legal requirements.
* Dealing with 15 cases at any one time and adhering to tight deadlines.
* Working alongside other teams to manage cases of non-compliance or non-conformance using desk based approaches.

Essential skills:

* Ability to understand and interpret legislation and then apply this to every day compliance activity.
* Experience in undertaking challenging conversations with people whether this be on the phone or face to face.
* Ability to persuade and influence people to take the necessary action applying appropriate questioning techniques when required.
