Carpentry Lecturer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Carpentry Lecturer to work for a College in the North East. The College is well rated, going through a period of growth and has a very supportive and cohesive faculty. You will be responsible for delivery level 1-3 theory classes as well as playing an active part in some practical based learning.

The main aim of the role is to drive and ensure the appropriate delivery of courses within the department, enabling students to develop their potential within the course framework. You will monitor, develop and teach the curriculum to ensure a quality product and excellent learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to the following:

Design, prepare and maintain the course content in consultation with the Head of Department and Curriculum Leader.
Teach; undertake tutorials and student assessment within the identified skills areas across the programme area.
Be responsible for the overall quality, day to day running and delivery of the courses.
Prepare course and staff timetables in liaison with the Head of Department and the Curriculum Leader.
To be responsible for student recruitment, retention and destination
To plan and carry out the executions of course related exhibitions, displays, shows, events and performances

Along with your main responsibilities you will also be expected to manage processes such as ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to and ensuring relevant records, registers and marking are maintained
