Are you an enthusiastic, motivated and organised Catering Manager looking for your next opportunity? If so, I have the perfect role for.

A well known secondary school based in Sutton Coldfield are looking for an experienced Catering Manager to lead, support and be responsible for managing their catering process whilst upholding a high level of service delivery and professionalism.

* 6-7 months temporary contact
* £12.00ph - £13.50ph
* Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.00pm
* On-site parking
* All school holidays off

All applicants must have a recent DBS certificate and have a proven ability to deliver service on time in a busy secondary school.

Job Role:

* To deliver an effective and efficient catering facility for all school stakeholders, encompassing menu planning, budgetary control, stock management, and ensuring kitchen health and hygiene regulations are met at all times
* To develop and progress the catering provision to deliver healthy and high quality meals that meet government National Nutritional Standards;
* To lead, manage, train and deploy a team of catering staff to ensure the efficient organisation of the catering provision;
* To supervise and deploy all catering staff to ensure the efficient organisation of the catering service
* To achieve best value without compromising on quality
* To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the catering facility, undertake regular planning meetings with School Business Manager to move the schools catering facilities forward
* To report to the School Business Manager, Headteacher and Governing Body (as and when requested) on the current financial position of the School Catering Provision
* To plan, control and direct the production and service of school meals, to develop termly two week cycle of menus, catering for all dietary requirements together with special event menus;
* To ensure all Catering Team members comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and follow the school's Health and Safety Procedures and Policies;
* To continually review and challenge suppliers cost prices and quality of products
* Use financial management reports to identify monthly cost analysis
* Helping out when required on tills, food production and with kitchen hygiene.

Requirements:

* 3 years + Catering Management experience
* Excellent communication and engagement skills
* MUST have experience working within a fast paced environment
* Catering Management within a School would be advantageous
* Proven ability to implement successful changes and strategies
* Strong financial understanding and demonstrable budgeting management.
* IT Literate
* Recent DBS certificate
* Knowledge of cashless catering
* Sound knowledge of Hygiene, Health and Safety
* Standards and quality driven management style
* Interpersonal, administrative and organisational skills
