Are you a Production Engineer with machine tool experience, looking for a varied, hands-on role where you will be in charge of implementing processes, and driving continuous improvement within an international company?

You will be responsible for the planning and implementation of production processes. This will involve programming workshop CNC`s, producing cost estimates and implementing lean techniques.
This role would suit a Production Engineer with machine tool experience, looking to drive process improvement for an international market leader.
Salary: £30k-£40k+ DOE
Hours of Work: 8-4.30 Mon-Thurs, 8-1.30 Friday (overtime available)
Holidays: 24 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
The Role:
* Plan and cost production needs
* Recommend and implement lean techniques to improve production
* Equipment specification, installation and commissioning
* Tooling specification, design and development
* Advise and co-ordinate manufacturing methods for tooling/equipment/in-process testing requirements for new and existing projects
* Maintain cost schedules and budgets to the standard required
* Ensure Quality Standards are maintained throughout production processes
* Liaise with customers on product development projects, concerning cost savings, engineering changes and product related matters
* Project management
* Problem solving of production processes, machinery and tooling
* Construct and maintain bills of material for customers and internal departments
* Training of operators (where applicable)
* Preparation of customer quotations and investment budget
The Person:
* Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline OR HNC/ HND in mechanical Engineering
* Ideally from an assembly background with knowledge of automotive processes
* Experience in a similar role
Price / Salary: £30000 - £40000/annum
