Shift Leader (Production/FMCG/Food Manufacturing)

£30000 to 32000 Basic Salary Inclusive of Shift Allowance + 25 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays + Generous Company Pension

Monday to Friday 3 Shift Pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am)

This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leading food manufacturer, who produce a variety of products sold across most major supermarkets and are a brand associated with quality.

To apply for this role you must be from a food or FMCG manufacturing background and must have previous experience of managing people in a production environment.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will predominantly be based on the shop floor, responsible for up to 50 operatives on shift. The role will be continuous improvement focused, using Kaizen and 5S techniques. Any lean-based qualification is desirable but not essential. You will be responsible for managing KPIs and adhering to strict hygiene guidelines.

This position is ideal for a supervisor from a food or FMCG background, looking to step up to a position with greater responsibility. The company offer a stable position within a well renowned manufacturer.

The Role:

* 70% shop floor based, 30% office based
* Implementing and managing continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing plans
* Managing a large team of operatives on shift and ensuring KPIs are met

The Candidate:

* Must have supervisory experience in a food or FMCG manufacturing background
* Must have experience of continuous improvements
* Must have experience of lean manufacturing techniques, ideally Kaizen and 5S
* Must live within a commutable to Cwmbran
