2D CAD Test and Development Engineer-Automotive Manufacturing

£20-£24K plus pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday

Are you a 2D CAD Technician/Operator from a manufacturing background, looking for a permanent role for a global manufacturer, offering significant training and progression?

There is plenty of opportunities for both the scope and responsibilities of the role to increase with time, and therefore the salary to increase.

There will also be the opportunity to travel with Europe and the Far East for further specialised training.

The role will focus on performing design, testing and investigation activities that contribute to timely completion of technical projects within a manufacturing environment.

Therefore tasks will include:

1. Produces drawings in relation to Estimation, Manufacture and Customer Approval
2. Use calculation tools for the generation of basic design information.
3. Responsible for carrying out test activities (document, collate, monitor etc.)
4. Produces rig design drawings for approval by Project Leader to meet customer test requirements.

Therefore to apply you should have:

1. Academic and/or working background in manufacturing engineering (ideally automotive)
2. Experience of operating CAD systems (2D) such as IDEAS, Catia, Pro Engineer and Unigraphics
3. In-depth knowledge of using test equipment
