Our client is looking to employ a Quantity Surveyor for their offices in Coventry. Their company is highly-successful within the Construction environment, taking on a range of specialist projects and providing excellent levels of service to their clients. If successful in your application, you will gain exposure to projects valued from £200,000 to £11million, spanning across Civil Engineering, Design & Build, Bulk Earthworks and Remediation sectors.

The right candidate will be hungry to exceed expectations in their work, be keen to build interpersonal relationships and have a high attention to detail. A background with projects involving Groundworks, Highways, Infrastructure, Earthworks, Remediation, and Structures is essential.

Skills and Experience:

* Commercial management of subcontractors.
* Review commercial risk, value management and cost control paperwork
* To authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts materials and plant orders.
* Knowledge of construction & contract law and various forms of conditions of contract.
* Manage time & workloads for yourself & any reports in a structured manner
* Provide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues.
* Deal with change management including adherence to the Programme established approach.
* Take part in meetings & discussions regarding project performance & to provide commercial input into project strategy.
* Produce monthly cost, valuation and cash flow reports.
* Attend and provide input at startup and close out meetings.
* Monitor cost of site resources.
* Maintain effective communications with project management.
* Provide advice on any contractual claims

Essentials:

* A strong background with projects involving Groundworks, Highways, Infrastructure, Earthworks, Remediation, and Structures
* A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying e.g BSc
* Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations
* Time-management skills
