An opportunity has arisen within our Crick based Driving Academy for an experienced LGV Instructor/Assessor to join our training team. As an LGV Instructor/Assessor you will be responsible for conducting licence acquisition training for Category C and C+E vehicles, driving assessments and familiarisation training.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for our fast growing Driving Academy within the largest family owned Recruitment Company in the UK.

The right candidate will have all the relevant qualifications and experience required to deliver the training and assessments. The work will take place predominantly during the week however a limited amount of weekend work will be required to cover peak times. Our Driving Academy is based at Crick and you will be using the Weedon DVSA Test Centre and therefore local route knowledge would be beneficial.

Duties will include:

Working with the Pertemps Driving Academy staff to ensure efficient use of resources
Deliver driver training, assessment and licence acquisition programmes
Complete all training and development paperwork accordingly
Ensuring your own current knowledge of transport legislation is up to date

Essential Requirements:

A full valid Category C+E driving licence
Knowledge of the transport & distribution industry
Registered LGV Instructor with a proven record of instruction
A valid Driver CPC - Driver Qualification Card
A valid Digital Driver Card
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Driving Assessor/Instructor
A comprehensive understanding of EU driving hours, Working Time Regulations and digital tachographs
Computer literate

Desirable:

SAFED Instructor Qualification
Hold or working towards a teaching qualification (PTTLS)
First Aid at Work trained

Salary of circa £40K

Price / Salary: £40000/annum
