The most trusted letters and parcel delivery company in the UK, based in Wakefield are seeking Class 1 Drivers due to an expected increase in volume in the next coming months. This is trunking work delivering to various hubs and DCs throughout the Home Counties. The positions are to start immediately and are ongoing with full-time hours.

As the Class 1 Driver, your duties will be to:

Deliver live mail to various RDCs / Hubs throughout the country in a safe and timely manner;
Adhere to all health & safety procedures accordingly;
Maintain high standards of practice when carrying out your daily duties.
Carry out relevant vehicle checks and record daily paperwork accurately.

To be a successful Class 1 Driver you will have the following skills and experience:

A valid LGV C+E licence ideally with a minimum of 2 years` experience or attend a Pertemps driver assessment if you don`t meet this requirement for insurance purposes;
A driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and free of endorsements such as DD`s, DR`s or IN10s.

There are various shifts available on days / afters and nights as well as weekends.

Days from £15.62 16.43 per hour
Afters and Nights from £16.22 - £18.03 per hour
Overtime paid after 36.25hrs at £18.64 per hour
Full weeks or ad-hoc shifts available and timings to suit.

Applicants applying for this Class 1 position must be available to start as soon as possible. Full security vetting is required, once checked there will be a full induction process including a driving assessment.
