Roles and Responsibilities
Our client is currently looking for a Project Manager will lead, manage and control the bid process from start to financial close at project management level. Some of your specific tasks and responsibilities within the role will be as follows:
* To organise the activities of the project team.
* To liaise with the project team on a regular basis and be available for support and guidance as and when necessary.
* Take responsibility for managing and leading the project team whilst representing the Client to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* To identify practical approaches and initiate appropriate action with clarity and in a timely manner.
* Manage and report on the budgets for the tender processes.
* To carry out risk and value management.
* To take responsibility for the interrogation of the design and contractors proposals to ensure compliance.
* To support legal, technical, financial and legal departments where necessary and appropriate.
* To identify, qualify and scope potential new business.
Within this role you will be required to work from home and visit clients where necessary so a Valid UK Driving License is essential for this role. Our client is also looking to offer a salary up to 40K - 45K dependent on candidates industry experience.
Essential Experiences
We are looking for a Bid Writer with a minimum of 2 Years experience within a similar position; Bid Writer, Bid Manager, Proposal Writer, Proposal Manager, Tender Manager/Writer. Candidates will have successful background in either municipal or general waste and will be educated to a Degree Level OR have a professional writing background.
Candidates will posses excellent management and prioritisation skills and are able to communicate and influence at a senior level. Strong written English Language is essential along with superb presentation skills. You will have advanced MS Office skills and experience in using desktop publishing programs and graphic design applications. Candidates will also posses the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
