CNC Machinist (Weekend Nights)

The company
Our client is a forward thinking, modern manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of precision linear slides and associated components for automation and special purpose machine projects

What is the purpose of the role?
To join our CNC manufacturing cell, operating large format CNC machine centres

What will you do?
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines
Loading and running programs through prove out according to the tools list and works instruction
Produce a valid first-off component and have it verified
Loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities
Conduct in-process inspections
Check against drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and high-standards
Friday Sunday, 6pm 6am

What skills and experience will you have? (Arial 11 bold)
Previous experience in setting and operating CNC machines
Working knowledge of controls, such as: Hurco, Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain
Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances
Proficiency in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques
A high level of IT literacy, including MS Windows and Office
