Senior Project Manager - Energy Storage - London - £Competitive

My client, one of the most successful and ambitious Energy Storage project developers in the UK, are looking for an Engineering Project Manager to provide engineering and technical leadership across a range of areas relating to the development and delivery of energy storage solutions.

The existing team is entrepreneurial in nature and therefore any candidate should be comfortable with the dynamic but also offer a high attention to detail. Due to the size of the team the role will require multitasking and excellent interpersonal skills.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:

* Delivery of storage projects, meeting time, quality and budget guidelines
* Produce and coordinate Request for Quote and Request for Tender documentation
* Take on responsibility as Owner's Engineer at all stages of the development of energy storage projects
* Manage responsibilities under the CDM regulations
* Oversee quotation and tender processes
* Undertake detailed Due Diligence on technical solution proposed by contractors
* Produce a detailed technical specification and acceptance & testing regime to be included in EPC contracts
* Manage contractual and operational interface between project stakeholders (including EPC, ICP, DNO, Gas Network Operator, Landowners)
* Continually evaluate new technologies entering the market as to their commercial viability

The Ideal Senior Project Manager:

* 10-plus years of experience in the UK electrical engineering and construction management sector
* Direct experience of senior project management responsibilities on capital energy projects
* Experience of producing detailed specifications / employer requirements within EPC contracts
* Undergraduate degree 2:1 minimum with professional qualifications such CEng considered preferable
* Deep knowledge of energy infrastructure sectors
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
* Team player who enjoys a high-performance culture
* Ability to work effectively with engineering organisations and customers / stakeholders
