Randstad Education work very closely with a number of schools in the Leeds area and constantly need Classroom Supervisors to cover absences.

These roles are vastly beneficial and a great platform for anyone that is considering working in education and wants to gain some paid experience prior to starting a PGCE or a considering a schools direct course.

Responsibilities:
-Supervising work that has been set by a teacher
-Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking their work
-Responding to any questions from pupils
-Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures
-Using positive behavior strategies to make sure the studnets are learning

Requirements:
-The ability to establish rapport within a classroom whilst maintaining a high standard of control and discipline
-Good time management
-Excellent communication skills
-Flexibility

If you don't have experience working with children and young people but you are still interested in working within this environment then you will be required to attend a full days training course.
